I have worked since I was 16. I have a master degree in business and marketing. I live in a very nice appartment in Paris. I work for a global company. And I go to work everyday by bicycle.

 

I don't take the Métro anymore. I don't like the atmosphere. 

 

I like my life, I love ma family. I have very good friends that I love. I like my colleagues. I love my appartment. I would not say that I love my job, but it's ok.

 

Untill now, I've just lived my life and followed my way, without thinking deeply of what I wanted.

But now, I know what I want. So I take up the challenge, I am going to cycle around our beautifull world. That makes me happy. I can smile for hours when I buy my panniers or my mastress.

 

I fell good knowing that I am going to discover the world.

This ride is really logical to me.

 

I want to discover the world , to discover the cultures, people, food, and perhaps discover myself. 

It all started with my sidekick Prune, 2 years ago :​

 

One day, at lunch, we eat fries at the cafeteria. She said,

"Let's cycle to London this summer !"

Obviously, I replied : "We'll, i'm not crazy, i'm not doing this!"

Back at my desk, I pick up my phone , I called Prune. "OK , I'm in ! "

 

It was decided. We lived dream week during our Paris - London bicycle ride.

A year later , it was the Atlantic coast, with the Vélodyssée.

 

Pretty naturally, when I sat back behind my desk, I just wanted to leave again.

I found that one blog that made me take my decisions. It took me a week to read everything. And when I finished, I just though : " well, that's what I want to do now".

The project is simple:

 

I take my bicycle, my savings and I leave for 2 years.

I'm going to take a ride around the world on my bike .

And everything will be okay

 

I have my will, some apprehension and lots of joy .

 

If all goes as planned, in spring 2017, I'll mount my bicycle and rush myself through the world!

 

 

The reactions around me are very positive :

 

Some tell me I'm brave. For me the courage is to get up every day and go to work in La Défense.

Others tell me that I can't do it. I don't talk to them.

And then there are those who tell me to go for it. Who support me and ask me what I need. Everyone wants to participate in my cycling world tour.

 

And there's my mother, who is afraid. Normal for a mom. I give her this little dedication . Everything will be fine mom.
